Join us for Good Food and New Friends at the New Bi-Rite Cafe at Civic Center Plaza
Bi-Rite Markets and the Creamery have become neighborhood gathering places, and serving others is built into our mission of Creating Community Through Food. So we’re incredibly excited to have this opportunity to now serve and become part of the Civic Center and Tenderloin community.
The Cafe is a fun, lively outdoor gathering space where anyone can relax, with historic and picturesque City Hall as a backdrop, and enjoy a quick meal, coffee, or ice cream treat during a day at the playground, while out sightseeing, or taking a break from the office.

Nourishing, Delicious Food In the Heart of the City
The Cafe offers the same delicious, responsibly sourced, local food and great service that you know us for. The menu has breakfast and lunch available all day and includes kid-friendly options. There’s also our Bi-Rite Creamery soft serve ice cream made with Double 8 Dairy water buffalo milk and a full espresso bar and coffee program featuring Sightglass Coffee.

Sightglass Coffee
Since 2009, brothers Justin and Jerad Morrison have roasted coffee in a sturdy 1914 built warehouse in SOMA, using a vintage Probat roaster that they meticulously restored to its former glory. Sightglass has a single goal: to offer the best, most delicious expression of each coffee they work with, while honoring those who grew it, processed it, and handled it along its journey to your cup.
Proudly Featuring
The Midwife & The Baker
Bread baker Mac and his wife Jaime (and a licensed midwife) began sharing their amazing bread and baked goods at farmers’ markets since 2015. They expanded into a bakery in early 2017 where they now mill their own flour using whole grans from California farmers, and bake the delicious seeded bread, croissants, and cardamom snails offered at Bi-Rite Cafe.
