How To: Store your citrus at home

The dos and don'ts of storing your citrus.

If you are going to be eating your citrus quickly, it’s fine to leave the citrus on the counter away from sunlight for up to a week. Any longer and you will want to store your citrus in the refrigerator crisper drawer (No bags! Let them breathe!). The cold will help preserve the aromatic oils in their skins and keep the citrus from drying out. Most citrus will last 2-3 weeks in the cold.
